I'm slowly trying to build up my collection, and recently rounded out my "needs" by adding an AR-15.

I hunt, but feel I have everything I need in that department. Now just looking for more "play toys."

What next?
9mm SBR
AK
Or just start duplicating what I already have (pistols, AR's, etc.)?

Something else?

Kind of what I'm thinking as well. What model would you recommend for it?

What about home defense/ tactically speaking - You'd put that in your repertoire before an AK?

If you are going on the AR platform 9mm then go with Quarter Circle 10 or JP.

If you are going with a 9mm carbine then go CZ scorpion or Sig MPX.

I went through this not long ago and ended up with the Scorpion. It's fun as hell.

Suppressors, custom bolt gun, 9mm ar, really big 500 revolver.

Or a really nice 1911 with exotic leather holster.

Thought about going this route...but I feel like it'd be a good collectors item. I'd maybe take it to shoot skeet and that's about it. But I'll inherit two very nice O/U's someday...I'll probably just wait it out - they'll mean more to me anyway.

Every collection should have one.

What do you already have?

A nice 1911 is a must if you are starting an "essential gun list for the everday American that likes to shoot shite and exercise his freedom".

My dad used to buy old military guns and refurbish them. Used to get them in crates, caked in Cosmoline or something. Anyway - he's held onto a few of these...keeps saying he's going to bring them over to me soon. But he's been saying that for the past five years or so.

If you ever get them don't ever sell them or monkey around with them. Pick one to keep as a shooter then keep the rest packed in VCI and stored where they are safe. I wish I'd bought 3 or 4 more M1 Garands when I got mine. Unmolested mil-surp rifles are getting harder to come by and owners are charging prices to match.
