I almost got in a wreck today because I was staring at a brand new 24ft Yellowfin with a 400 on the back. I got home and was thinking the price tag of that must be easily over $150k.

Are $100k+ bay boats that much more worth it than a similarly equipped $50k bay boat? I just don't see the justification for such an increase in price for not that much more benefit.

Do they hold up better?
Do they ride better?
Are they dryer?
Better fishability?
Faster?

I haven't seen that drastic of a difference, but they sure as shite look good

Its just higher quality and more attention to the small details just like luxury cars. YF does have the 24 Carbon Elite model which is maybe the one you saw. 25% less weight and im sure it is pretty fast.

I've fished several times out of MarshMan's BlueWave, and it's about as comfortable as it gets. Tag on it was less than 100k.

ETA: Ready to go offshore and try the Cape Horn PapaPogey's neighbor just got.

Running skinny looking for reds burning the shore line. Also running 70+ in the mid tower. It's a cat so handles chop well also.
