So I'm purchasing a new rifle from an individual that is shipping to my FFL. Long story short, I always have a hold when purchasing a new rifle/pistol. I have a trust set up, will purchasing this rifle under my trust name not put me on hold for the purchase? Will I be able to take home same day?
This is not a NFA rifle I am buying currently. It is an 18" AR platform rifle.
Thanks for any info.

Probably not.

You would still have to put your name and info on the 4473.

Do you have other NFA weapons in the trust? If so, why are you mixing the two?

just do the 4473 normally. no need to get cute with the trust. you'll most likely leave same day, and if you get delayed, it's 3 days. big deal

It won't make any difference because you will still have to fill out a 4473 when picking it up at the FFL regardless of if you use the trust or not.

You should get a UPIN. It should help with delays. However, a lot of times delays happen because of reasons that have nothing to do with the individual you are doing the BG check on.
