Try giving her baby aspirin.

LOL...She loves that shite. Gobbles it up like its candy.

That relieves the pain though. Trying to see what might be causing it.

You're talking about glucosamine right?

re: Problem with my labs hip
I don't have a lot of experience with labs with bad hips. Mine was 12-13 when she started having problems, Vet said surgery wasn't going to accomplish much at her age.

Yeah, the human 500mg capsule once a day will help.

I'd really quit running her hard if I were you. Mrs.(Dr.) Net is saying the surgery is over 1K.

Penny of prevention>pound of cure.

I realize this is pure internet diagnosis, but you all are thinking along the lines of arthritis? Gosh, she's pretty young and no known injury.

Hell, not so sure why this surprises me. We've all heard of humans getting it early in life. Its just not that common.

Thank you. Will start tomorrow morning.

It might not be the hip it could be the knee it can look like a hip injury, see if you can find a ortho vet x rays are not great for identifying soft tissue damage.

the green bean diet

Just did some research on this diet. This looks like a damn good way to drop some quick weight. Its a 50% reduction in calories but supposedly just as filling.

Like others have said glucosamine will help, have a beagle that is 10 with arthritis in one of his front legs, he gets glucosamine during hunting season and it helps.

If hip X-Rays are current and appear normal, ACL (cruciate ligament) in knee partial tear possible and fairly common in Labs. Take her to ortho specialist if necessary for diagnosis. Surgery only good repair option.

glucosamine

The pet specific type is easier absorbed per a vet. Following dosing directions (more to start) and then administer daily.

PS - I'm not a vet.

**Cut Calories in half and looks a bit thinner.
**One 500mg of glucosamine in the mornings.
**Stopped running her.
