I am thinking of buying an electric pressure washer to some cleaning around the house. Is 1600 psi enough to clean concrete and just general shite around the house? TIA.

I have a spot where the runoff from my roof falls in my flower bed. The splash makes my stucco real dirty in that area. Will the washer be strong enough to clean the stucco? I can borrow my Dad's gas powered one to do concrete every now and then.

Have you tried Jomax in a spray bottle?

To clean dirt? I actually bought some jomax concentrate the other day to spray my soffits before repainting. I am not in a rush to spend the money on a pressure washer so if jomax and bleach will work I will do that.

i would be real, real careful about washing a stucco exterior with high pressure...assuming this is portland stucco and not EIFS. very gentle spray wash is best, jomax will get it clean usually with no pressure at all.

if its portland, just be careful.
if its EIFS, do not hit with any kind of pressure, at all

I wouldn't buy an electric; I've had 2 Karchers. Certain parts are cheap plastic and will break.

I got a gas one a couple of years ago; Homelite Model # UT80522G & 2700-PSI for under $300 and I love it....highly recommend.

Thanks guys. I will try a mix in my pump sprayer and go that route first.

Chlorox with water mixture sprayed on, (as long as there aren't delicate type flowers under it) and then washed off, with a contributor of sunshine will remove most stuff off of non-porous surfaces..

Add some Dawn to your mix
Acts as a degreaser/detergent which chlorox is not

You might try putting pine straw where the water is splashing if you haven't yet. Still get some water without the dirt

honestly, I have never seen an electric pressure washer that was worth shite...gas is not much more expensive and is a hell of a lot more dependable...

I have a Craftsman 1600 PSI gas that I bought 8-9 years ago on clearance. I use it twice a year to clean my house it works great. 1600 PSI Is enough to clean concret. It will take a little longer.

ETA.... mine is gas, just a small one.
