Not sure why any sane human would want to shoot an AR or AK pistol in an indoor range anyways. The muzzle blast is bad enough when shooting outside without the extra walls and ceiling reflecting the concussion back at you.

The creek has my property inaccessible right now so the only way for me to dial in a red dot I have is to go to an indoor range.

Maybe they should stop the people who are shooting at the ceilings and walls
They try. But depending on how busy they are on any given day (or at any given hour), it's virtually impossible to monitor every shooter.

Personally, I'd never own a range. I'd never make any money 'cause I'd be ejecting every customer who couldn't/wouldn't handle his gun safely. I don't hesitate to correct people who sweep me with their muzzle (at Precision or anywhere else). I do it very politely (the first time), but over half (of the ones I correct) seem to think it's none of my business where they point their guns.

Any time I think I may have offended a patron at Precision who had been sweeping me with his gun, I make sure to tell staff what occurred and what was said. Each time their response to me has been, "Good .... glad you corrected him."

You literally cannot count the number of bullet holes in the ceiling at Precision. Granted, they've been in business a long time - but still ..........

eta: clarification

amen

they are holding 2 suppressors for me until the stamps come in, and i paid to join, but i'm honestly scared to go shoot there. every time ive been in there there's been a crowd of hey-brahs waiting to shoot, most of them clearly having never handled a gun before

spooked me right out, and down to basspro
their range is pistol only but it sure seems a lot safer

I have no reason to doubt you, but it's amazing and disppointing to me that there are so many irresponsible shooters out there. OTOH, this is from the perspective of someone who doesn't ever shoot at an indoor range because I don't have access to one. Sounds like I best continue shooting in the country!

Personally I feel like your being uptight in this situation. Business owner's do and should have the right to make these kinds of decisions. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you should go post on the internet about it. I could understand if it was arbitrary or something, but like others have said, how wold you feel if someone was shooting up your walls and ceilings?

Been a while since a Precision hate thread

It really sucks that they're the only range in the BR area because they suck hard.

I'm a pretty uptight dude and I like getting my way. I hate being told no. Because no isn't an option for me. Call it a character flaw if you will. Or call it driven. Whatever you feel.

told me quite a few years ago that I couldn't shoot an SKS

Crazy, the exact same thing happened to me there. About four years ago I brought in a SKS I had just purchased, and the guy behind the counter shook his head and told me to put it back in my car. Went back a couple times after that to shoot pistols with friends and each time the staff there was rude as frick.

Finally, about a month ago, I'd just finished my AR pistol build and obviously immediately wanted to go shoot it, so I showed up there about an hour before close with just 50 rounds. The guy behind the counter (who was actually pretty cool, but found out later he was new, go figure) said they only had one working rifle lane, and that it was currently occupied. He did say that the shooter had been there awhile and that he could get me in there in about 30 mins, so I chose to wait. Finally got me in just 15 mins before close and I wasnt even able to zero my sights before they announced they were closed. When I got out, some other guy was behind the counter and charged me the full frickin range fee even after I mentioned I'd only gotten 15 mins. He then noticed my AR pistol and told me the other guy made a mistake and that I shouldnt have been allowed to shoot it. Swore then that I'd never go back.

Go try the range in Baker if you havent been. Just went last week and was extremely impressed with their staff.

There are bullet holes in the wall and ceiling less than 2 feet from the shooting tray! I even saw a hole in the tray itself last time I shot!

My second response is always, "Do it again, and I'll point mine at you". Works every time

Brass and the whole range are swept at the end of each night.
They've even started selling the brass online VERY cheap.

https://www.precisiononcefiredbrass.com/9mm-1000-ct/

$15 for 1,000 rounds.

Think of it as the "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" policy. Sure, I agree it's your right to walk around half naked, but it's just plain old distasteful and trashy. It should be up to the owner though.

I like this guy
