Hand grenades. I find a slow retrieve works best.

I tried the beetlespin first, then went to a black and red crawfish. Tried a black spinner bait in two sizes then tried white. Tried buzzbaits in different colors and sizes in the afternoon. Tiny torpedos in fire tiger and white. Then a black and gold rouge. The only thing I didn't try was a crank bait. Just remembered that but there's so much underwater cover I'm positive I'd lose it.

I fished this morning in a 6 acre pond. I was using a jig(red head/chartreuse tail) and I caught 5 crappie and a bass before I had to go.

What fish are in the pond your fishing?

Did the same thing yesterday. I fished a spinnerbait, crankbait, brushhog, and Pop R yesterday without a nibble. Just before I left at sunset, I tied on a Senko and got one to take it but I missed it. Couldn't get it to hit again and had to leave to go get dinner for the family.

Watermelon/Red Flake Senko or a small worm...try fishing it so slow you can see the hair growing on your arm.

Is it a stocked pond?

If yes, do they feed the fish?

It's just a two acre pond. I know there's bass in it because I've caught them and released them. Idk what's all in there. It doesn't really belong to anybody. I'm gonna go back this Week after work.

i caught some nice bass out of a neighborhood pond 2 weeks ago on a swim bait. Last week i threw a spinner and a baby brush hog and only had one bite on the brush hog.

Its in a shady area and fairly deep. I was figuring the water may be still too cold, but I could be wrong.

it was pretty cold 2 weeks ago when i threw it. It was just starting to warm up, but that water temp couldn't have been over 55. Might be worth a shot

Thanks for the tips. If I get a chance to go back this week I'll give them a try.

Fished a pond in BR last Friday, pulled out 14 pound/pound a halfers.

All caught on beetle spins with a white grub.
