small bed: 4ft x 8ft
materials, land prep, plans
complete novice here: assume i don't no anything about anything

My Eagle Scout project was series of wheelchair accessible gardens for a nursing home. They looked similar to the one below. The one change I made that worked well was using rebar running through the whole column of wood at certain intervals to give added support. The beds were really long and needed it.

3 - 1x6x8 cedar boards

cut one in half, buy some stakes for anchors

either remove all the grass or lay down newspaper to kill the grass

put a mixture of topsoil, garden/manure mix soil, blood meal

top with leaves

plant veggies

That's too much work.

2x12 boards and get a 4x4 post for the corners to screw into.

If you make them long you will need some middle supports to keep it from bulging eventually.

Get one of those greenes kits from amazon


89 bucks or so and easy to assemble
