Places to camp within 3-4 hours of SELa

Are there any places within 3-4 hours of southeast La that you can pitch a tent and camp? i mean more like public land as opposed to a structured camp site at a campground? Like real-nature roughing it...

Check our Bogue Chitto State Park. I'm still bitter about then buying that property from us but it's an awesome piece of property. It's about 15 minutes from my house.

Go do the backpacking sites at Lake Fausse point. We did the one at the very end of the trail a while back. You're right on th water. Only a firepit at the site. Very cool

Kisatchie is very nice. It feels almost like Arkansas with good elevation changes for Louisiana and the bayou runs like a river.
