Has anyone made a google map of all these gated canals, I feel that would be a helpful visual.

The grammar in the comments makes Louisiana Sportsman comments read like the Harvard Review.

That's right Alx, if the water came from the seas, the rivers or fell from the sky it should be open to the public. Glad you finally see it the right way...

I just looked at who signed it, bass cheaters and trespassers. Sounds like a stand up bunch that I want to be associated with, where do I sign up? Does this give is duck hunting rights too?

Man this is such a touchy situation.

You have the marshes and canals being gated. Folks hate that cause it takes away their access. Then you have waterways along the MS river ruled private beyond the normal water level. Folks hate that again for the same reason. But it's also the same along every flooded piece of land. Not sure there is any happy median here.

I just signed. This has to be cleared up where it's black and white. Can anyone of you honestly say you're not on private property in the canals and ponds that you fish or pass through regularly? I think it needs to cleared up and not left up to someone's interpretation simply because those with power and money will always sway interpretation. One day it'll be a canal or a pass that you rely on that's being gated don't wait until it's too late.

I agree... The amount of gates that have been put up the last 3 years is crazy, but worse than that is how you can be given a trespassing ticket on a waterway that isn't posted or gated.. Sign me up
