I thought the sarcasm would be a little more obvious with the popcorn... I didn't know I would get so many panties in a wad.

I'm sure it's a good reel. I'm sure it will catch a few fish. It's like buying a Chevy, sure it'll do what you need. Buy why buy it when you can buy a Toyota?

The problem is you think your little sissy Tundra can tow a Space Shuttle when in fact your trailer ball is shinier than the Shimano salesman's knob you keep slobbin.

Shiiiiiiiiittt...

That truck gets more work than an Argentinian bird mexican.

I'm sorry if y'alls standards are so low that you're impressed by that Chinese crap. Penn outsources all of those reels to China. Built by children in sweat shops.

Shimano builds their Symetre reels in Malaysia. Know where that is? Well neither do I, but I'm pretty damn sure it's not China.

Basically, if you fish Penn Battle II reels, you're a communist.

The only time a Tundra pulls a shuttle is when your dog catches a red rocket in back your truck.

Shouldn't that be the only argument needed at this point?

UPDATE: So I bought the 4000 Penn Battle II and it appears to be real nice. Hoping to test it out on the water tomorrow. The only potential problem I have is the reel doesn't "lock" when you try to reel backwards. I don't know if it's suppose to do this or not. When I try to reel backwards it just loosens the reel handle.

It is PENN's way of connecting internals. Handle will come loose occasionally. Hold the spool/bale with one hand and tighten the handle with the other. I believe it's lefty tighty. Most PENN guys tighten it a good amount which stretches the bolt threads and keeps it from loosening. Obviously don't tighten to strip threads off.

I loaned mine to a 7 year old last year and he did that. How old are you?

Tighten the handle and don't reel backwards.
