pretty cool stuff how beavers were used nearly 70 yrs ago to create Idaho habitat in remote areas

I'm really surprised we don't have beavers on our property. We have an old streambed of Bedico Creek that runs right through our land which would be perfect beaver habitat. I don't know how I would react to this, though.

As someone who has to deal w invasive species for my job and kills beavers on family property because the f up habitat .... wtf were they thinking. Anyway we did lots of stupid introductions back in the day and I would chalk this one right up there.

It was nice to see how the thread got hijacked ;)

Meh, beavers arent invasive and are actually good for nature where humans aren't involved.

Just got back from Northern Alberta. I was amazed at the number of beaver ponds up there. They were absolutely everywhere. I never realized how much they can change a landscape going up there. We have a few down here, but that was on a different scale.

They are a huge part of the habitat around here.
