Paging / Appreciation Thread for Carson

I wrote this in another thread but I had a question to add and didn't want to hijack.
First:
Thank you for the offer to help me with my scope a few weeks back. I went in but you were there. Another guy (younger with a bald head) helped me out. Cost me a couple bucks but definitely fixed the majority of my grouping issues. Even shot me a buck two days ago. You are definitely one of the most helpful guys on this board.
Second:
I am wanting to buy a new stock for my 300wsm 700. I am pretty close to picking up the HS Precision thumbhole sporter. I don't want to break the bank, love thumbhole stocks, and want to upgrade with the aluminum being block over the flimsy sps stock. What do you think of this stock of you have any experience? What do you think of HS overall? Should I need it even with the aluminum block? What do y'all charge for that, if you do it at all?

It's the stock I would get. H-S Precision makes one of, if not the best, stock(s) on the market. Full length aluminum bedding block, kevlar reinforced with carbon fiber and fiberglass, lifetime warranty. Not much more you can ask for. Cooper uses them for their synthetic rifles, which should tell you all you need to know. Only downfall is the price; most people scoff at the idea of paying $400-$450 for a stock and go with a Boyd's instead. You do get what you pay for, though. It's as robust a stock as you can get.
We don't have any thumbholes in stock (pun intended), but we have a standard sporter stock, as well as three of their rifles, which are among the best we carry. You can come get a feel for them if you like and we can special order you a thumbhole sporter in your chosen finish if you like them.

Sounds great. I'm going to have to make a trip by this week. I called stockysstocks.com and they told me the mold for the short action thumbhole stock cracked and they are making a new one. Should take ~2 weeks to ramp up production again. So I guess I will have plenty of time to get re-aquanted with ole girl before next season.
