Canada goose banded in the artic of Quebec in summer 2012 - whacked yesterday on opening day. He nvr checks for jewelry but bet he does now If i wasnt on my phone I would post a pic - I thought bird was juvenile local Canada but was an adult migrant - must be a small body type canada as it was much smaller than local golf course birds.

Feliciana – I will look at the certificate again but as I recall it was a Canada – there are lots of sub populations of Canadas that have different body types and this may be one of them – probably why it was banded. The other memorable thing was my dog chased down a cripple at 500+ yds in a cut bean field – I love to see a lab tackle a goose – that goose was bookin it
