For those that came to my house for the first pirogue build this weekend a year ago, show me how your pirogue is today. If you been using it like me, it should have battle wounds.

Wish I would have participated. Would love to have a homemade pirogue.

You're a good man. Your pirogues have touched the lives of many a men over the course of the last 18 months.

Thank you 4. I hope come this fall to have another build. Things have been going down hill the last month or so fast. I had enough doctors and just want my life back and yet another doctors appointment tomorrow in New Orleans. I'm about really to yell uncle.

I was at the second build, and mine is all prettied up and hangs decoratively in the man cave. My dad finally retired (for good this time) and his first mission was to finish his- and he did. I'll take some pics for ya, fish, when I go by there tomorrow. Hang in there buddy!

I've used mine a few select times. I'm planning on duck hunting with mine some this season and will be rigging up some form of brush on it. with all the rain we are having I could literally use it in my driveway right now.

There's not a week that goes by that I don't say to myself "Damn I need to go get my pirogue from Hammer and finish that damn thing...", but there never seems to be enough time in the week for anything these days... Even on my weeks off!

I've been cautiously checking the mail for 8 months now, awaiting a bill from you for storage fees.

Was thinking about it this week also. That was one fun weekend, learning a dying trade and meeting all you like-minded, outdoor guys.

This week also marked a year since my weightloss surgery. I really do thank all of you guys for the help yall gave me that weekend since I was limited after my surgery.

I'd definitely like to come to another build as an assistant to Fish if there's another one and my schedule allows.

It's hard to predict the future, but I will give it hell to try to have another.

Just getting back from New Orleans and the VA might step in were medicare death panel is dropping the ball on me. It might take a month, but at this point, I have no choice.

Keep on fighting Fish, my boat has seen little work since last year, kids and work has kept me busy, hopefully I can get it finished up soon. I know choupiquesushi has been using his a lot and catching lots of fish...
