Does anyone know how to remedy this? My lab mix goes crazy, angry, barking when other dogs come around while on leash. He is fine off leash. We go to dog parks all of the time. It's the weirdest thing.

Get a pinch collar. If he does this, do a swift jerk. It is very uncomfortable and eventually he will stop. Don't pull or yank on it, just a swift jerk.

Or you could hire this guy

Either yank the shite out of him, or smack him in the head. Don't puss out and he'll stop

Dog is defending you. I've seen normally obedient dogs flip out on a leash when other dogs approach.

Pinch collar, basket muzzle and socialize. Pop and release at each sign of aggression. Reward when he/she is non-aggressive. Be patient, it could take a while.

If you are in BR, Larry Benoit does socialization every Saturday and South Park by BassPro at 0800.
