Last I heard, the landing at old river (just past Mortganza spillway) was still flooded. Is this still the case? Is the water too high to catch anything?

Still way to high. Catfish should be biting on trot lines but that's about it

Wait til the MS River at BR is 27ft or below. I like going when its below 23ft.

As a point of refernce, most of the piers are usually still under when the MS River is at 18ft. It's at 41.8ft right now, so most of the piers are about 25 ft under water.

Wow. Seems crazy because I haven't been there in so long. But, I know you're right when I think about it. Thanks!

These lakes that flood from the river take forever to get back to the right level. I was catching some nice bass at Ole River before the water started rising. It will be late July before its good again

We have a camp out there and kill the sac-au-lait, but I still can't figure out the bass out there. I'm usually a pretty solid bass fisher, but I can't seem to get on them good there.

I've only fished it a few times but done pretty good on bass. Always see a lot of people perch jerkin but don't see them catch a whole lot. I want to try the ball park area when the water gets right

That's a fun area to fish.

We have a pier and can catch 100s of sacs a day off of it when its right. Fun stuff. The last few years have been rough though. The water has stayed high most of the summer.
