Looks like we're going to have a calm weekend so we're talking about making a rum on Saturday. Does anyone have any information on a grassline or good color change out of cocodrie/fourchon?

I'd prefer a scotch, but if your making it, whatever.

I know nothing about saltwater fishing, so.....

Potentially... Going to depend on how the trout fishing goes Friday and what everyone in our crew wants to do Saturday

now that you have a boat i would sign up for one of the satellite imagery services that is geared to fisherman. there are a couple websites that provide information on the location of the rip. i think they run about $100 a year, but it pays for itself with a few uses with the cost of gas.

Just looked at Hilton's. Using the chlorophyll (the true color images are poor):

From cocodrie it looks like SS 300 to SS 283.

From Fourchon, it is 7 miles south of the circle rigs and then heads north as you move east. The images from the east have some cloud cover, so I cannot tell.

Of course none of this will be useful by Saturday.
