Im sure you can, I don't know what kind of markings these have on them already though. I am really thinking about getting one to start my builds until the others come in.
Now all those $300 complete lowers I have seen seem like good deals, its going to end up costing that with the LPK from PSA costing $200 now.

Also, what are the negatives with polys?

Then hold off man, and I will let you know if I find anything.
No, I dont think they will be banned. But I do know for a fact that this craze will last for months longer, even after the bills are struck down, because of people that are waiting to complete builds, and the backorders.

Got you. Thanks man, I appreciate it.

ICS, grab one or two of those man, worst case scenario is selling at cost, or making a few bucks on bayoushooter.
Drew, polys have gone through pretty strenuous testing, but its the lack of data over long term that have people iffy on buying them. That, and most major manufacturers don't use them.
Basically, people say they are proven, and think they will break.

Alright, if you want a jump on me in this thread, keep these links open-
In stock lower receiver thread
Lots of BS to shift through, but if you have any questions, ask on here. Basically be on the lookout for any stripped lower for under $150, or complete lower for less than $400. Usually they will say if they are metal or polymer.
In Stock Uppers
This link has been a lifesaver. Order from Midway, PK firearms, Bravo Company if you can. The ones from Midway and PK usually come with BCGs and charging handles, but most of Bravo Company's does not, so you will have to wait for those to be in stock.
You can look on Palmetto State right now and get a lower parts kit for your future stripped upper for $200, or you can wait for their classic one, that has standard MOE furniture instead of MAGPUL, for less.

Hold off on that poly, if you don't feel comfortable with it. I am tempted to get one myself, but burgeman, another poster, just talked me out of it. Just go to the last page of those links and start refreshing from there when you can, I have them all open on my phone and PC
And the poster Ice Cream Sammich asked a question before you, so I answered him before you, sorry for the confusion

What specific questions do you have right now. I have nothing but time, class just ended for the week for me, and the SO is working tonight.

Whatever you do, do go to arfcom.

Shouldn't I wait on everything else until I have the lower striped and kit?
If I want to have the option of Mil vs. Comm spec do I need to avoid certain lowers?
What about the M4 option? Avoid certain lowers as well?

I posted earlier in a thread but it got anchored. They are raffling off a Bushmaster AR for St.Jude. $10 pledge and you can do it online.
