FUK YES finally!!!

I ordered both at the same time but there was a little mis communication so one got filed 11 days later. Those extra 11 days added almost a month to the wait. Filed 6/30/16 approved 5/15/17 and the other was filed 7/11/16 approved 6/10/17.

2004. The Air Force was still using 20 rd USGI mags for the range; a good idea, & something I've always done with personal weapons.

Unless I wanted to do rapid fire, or test out a new 30.

I have a pile of early contract Air Force 20-rd mags. Great mags but beat up the brass, only use them when I'm shooting stuff I don't plan to pick up for reloading.

Just saw Colt M4 "expanse" on CDNN for $599

And if anyone is looking to build one surplus Ammo has Aero Precision lowers for $45. That's stupid cheap.

That's not what he said, he said it was over priced as did I.

Kinda figured you'd cream your pants at the thought of it.

You have something against Colt. I get it. You don't even have Colt listed in your original post for this thread. It is what is. You are what they call a Colt-hater.

And look, you obviously own or work at a gun shop. That's not my line of work. So I'm not going to win any battles with you on specifics about rifles.

But I will laugh out loud every time you try to tell someone that a $1000 Colt and a $500 S&W are in the same class

Why would you laugh when you can't give any empirical evidence as to its superiority?

The best part about you using S&W as your "trash gun" is that Colt and S&W share quite a few parts that are made at the same company: Continental Machine & Tool. They are one of 5 or so companies that make parts and receivers for the vast majority of AR companies. Most brands are just assembly shops. Don't believe me? Take a Colt and a S&W (or a Stag, Gen 1 Noveske, RRA), remove the pistol grip, and observe the hidden mill mark, a feature on all CMT-produced lower receivers. The smooth transition between the receiver extension and the pistol grip area is a trademark of their's as well (the other shops have a small groove cut in that area)

Like I said. I'm not a gun smith bro

But I did use my Colt m16 to invade Baghdad and Fallujah in '04. Along with every Marine in my unit.

How's that for evidence of superiority?

Before that I've also used a 20 year old Colt m16 that was beat to shite and thrown across concrete floors in squad bays during boot camp. It performed flawlessly and I was able to put 10/10 in the black (silhouette) from 500 yards using peep sights.

So yeah, I have some real life experience with the quality and reliability of those rifles

But he isn't saying they aren't reliable. He is saying they aren't any better than rifles that cost less like the M&P...

Hey bud. Is it really necessary to have the rails extend all the way to the end of your rifle (like the one in your pic)?

Guess you have to have that for all the cool lights and lasers to attach?

Also, how hard is it to clean that shite? Looks like a nightmare to properly clean

Ok? That's not empirical at all, but whatever. I think we've all learned that you won't offer anything insightful.

It isn't 90% of the guys I shoot with are Mil/LEO. You know how many use Colts when we train/shoot recreationally? 0.

Most ARs will run that reliably and shoot to that standard. Stoner's design is that good.

I shoot ~15,000 rounds a year across ALL brands. I know a thing or 2, myself.

Any clip-on night vision or thermal unit will require that much rail space, especially if running a DBAL or a MAWL in conjunction

NSRs have 6 screws that thread into the barrel nut. Such a nightmare
