Will you let us know when you're up and running for cerakote service?

The MOE SL handguards are an absolute bitch to put on.
I went out and bought one of those Wheeler delta ring tools just to install my MOE SL. I never had a problem taking off plain GI style handguards but that SL was a bitch. Glad to know it wasn't just me

It's not so much the delta ring, but getting the bottom half of the MOE SLs to seat in the handguard cap once the top in installed. When you get that you're home free.

Field n stream in laffy. Buy one get 50% next on .22 ammo. Including the buckets of 1400. That's about a nickel a round. Today and tomorrow.

I need help deciding on a trigger for my new build. Right now I'm leaning towards the Rise Armament RA-140. It seems to have good reviews at a decent price. The only other aftermarket trigger I've ever used is a Rock River National Match, which I like but I'm pretty sure I want a single stage for this build.

Ordered the last of my parts today, looking forward to getting the rest in and assembled. Spent a bit more than what I wanted to, but still under 1k. Just waited and found things on sale when I could get them.
Here's the layout for my first build:
PSA stripped upper
PSA stripped lower
PSA nickel boron BCG
PSA polished fire control group
AXTS ambidextrous safety selector
Del-ton 16" 5.56 1/9 mid length with A2 FSB
and a bunch of OD green Magpul parts; CTR stock, MAID pistol grip, SL handguard, angled foregrip, MBUS flip up rear sight
I should have all the rest of the parts by end of next week. Going to play around with it before I add or change things out, like optics and possibly a magpul UBR gen2 whenever it comes out. Has been fun building it so far and worth the extra cash to customize it up front. Pics to come in the future

Geauxxx Tigers23, here's my "blemished" lower from PSA. Took me a few minutes to find what was "wrong" with it. Just a bit extra anodizing on the edges next to the mag release cutout. Doesn't interfere with any of the function in any bit

She's coming together slowly. Need to get a better pistol grip for it and order a butt stock.
The spikes billets look so good together

I hit up the field and stream 22 sale. 2800 rounds for $150
15-22 owners, which ammo do you shoot? I'm having quite a few hangups with this Remington.

Does anyone besides Rock River or LMT make a fixed stand alone A2 style rear sight?
Posted on 7/24/16 at 10:01 am to GeauxxxTigers23
Did you want it to have elevation adjustments?
There are a bunch with just windage and no elevation.

Yes, that is a must for me. I wish Daniel Defense made one like that to go with their fixed front sight.
Another question. If I were to get an RRA stand alone rear sight and a Daniel Defense fixed front sight would the be compatible? Are they both the right height to work with one another?

I've never been a fan of that stuff. I mean it's take what you can get right now, but CCI is usually the way to go. Those boxes of federal auto match run pretty well too
Someone else on here said the Winchester M22 ammo was crap too, I have a few thousand in boxes that I haven't even fired yet

All of mine are old school-front post with bayonet lug, upper receiver with carrying handle and ghost ring sights, with wind adj. I don't even like a collapsible stock on mine. If I want to butt stroke somebody,I want full impact, breaking bones and shite. Not having to worry about my collapsible stock collapsing.
It's a basic (very good) fighting weapon, and should be kept as basic and reliable as possible.Use the fix up money on a good pistol or .308 bolt rifle, the best one that you can get.
Don't put lipstick on a bobcat.

I already have an A2 model. I want to keep that sighting system with a sexier looking rifle.
