Midway is the only place I have mine saved. It is so convenient. Not that I don't trust Dick Cabela as much as Larry Potterfield, I just don't order from them as much.

Both are fine Americans.

So, I've done a lot of looking around for an AR recently.. as I am sure everyone has been. Came across this company out of Georgia (Head Down Products) that seems like they guarantee you will get a gun if you are willing to wait 7-10 weeks. I have found some reviews on them in various forums and what not, but haven't been able to find any real performance and longevity related info. Has anyone had any experience with these guns? If so, what is your opinion. The only reason that I am considering them is because of the price..$899 is hard to beat in these times.

Here is a link to their site:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In that time, you can stake out Academy and Walmart, maybe Cabelas, and get a rifle in store for that price.

I honestly have never heard of that company before clicking that website.

Some people are still paying crazy amounts though. I sold 420 rounds of Federal 5.56 FMJ in an ammo can today. The guy drove from BR to LC just to get it and paid me $350

For those that have built their own AR, what tools are needed? Armorers wrench, torque wrench, vise blocks, some kind of punches?

Sweet. You ever shoot steel 9mm? This morning Academy had 900 steel rounds for $200 but I've heard steel is problematic and I have no experience with it.

It struck me as one. I shouldn't worry about it being steel then? It's just for the range anyway
