PSA and Spikes are just as good. BCM is in no way head and shoulders above. There are just a lot of folks set in their brands. Be careful, and do some other sourcing. Before making your final decision.

I dont own any Hyundais when it comes to rifles. It just pains me to watch people buy $300+ lowers because they think they are better. Id rather help them spend $300 more on a Krieger barrel for that AR and shoot circles around people that spend $300+ for a lower.

Im of the opinion that a warrior should not have a favorite weapon, but Im 100% with you on this. I would rather have a $80 lower with a $200 quality barrel, $200 quality trigger and a $200 NiB bolt carrier group and a titanium firing pin with sights and optics of the same qualities.

That being said you get what you pay for. Beyond the product itself is the name brand, manufacturer guarantees are only worth the word of the manufacturer.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my AR. I've tried several types of ammo and I cant get it to cycle right. I tried different mags too. I used Tula, Monarch, and Federal American Eagle. All 55gr FMJ. I thought it might be short stroking with the cheap ammo, but the bolt locks back with only one round in the mag. It had several issues the last time I used it, it would not pick up the next round, and it tried to load two rounds sideways it looked like. The tip of the bullet missed the chamber and the bcg struck the side of the casing jamming it. Do ya'll have any idea on where I should start with trying to fix this. I picked this gun up off a guy that needed some funds. I guess I know why he wanted to get rid of it.

Not really trolling. I chime in here and there when the BS is starting to overflow. JMHO (BS overflowing). Of course there is a lil pride here. When I hear or see someone make a statement I believe to be untrue, I speak up. We can call that trolling if you like.

I am however currently building my first mid length. So far, spikes lower and upper (which fit like a glove). Both are stripped. I like putting it all together. I'm trying out an RCA BCG that I ended up splurging on during the craziness. Can't decide on DD, Bravo, or Rainier for the barrel. The rainier was what I really wanted to try out, but I'm getting kind of tired of waiting on them.

I already know the quality I have in the products I'm putting together (with the exception of the RCA BCG). I'm not going to linger on it though, cause the 300 BLK is next.

Have you tried it with a different magazine? It sounds like the bcg isnt stripping the rounds from the magazine properly.

Yeah....not going to pay 550-600 for a barrel assembly. No doubt in my mind about the quality of those barrels, though.

Feed ramp issue? M4 vs rifle? You said you picked it up off of someone. Was it "store bought" or built by the prior owner?

Without looking at the rifle I can't really help you other than to give you this trouble shooting guide. Hope it helps.

I really don't have too much to offer either. However, what brand is it? A higher end brand should be backed by some good CS and a lower brand probably has a few pages dedicated to this problem elsewhere.

Anybody know where I can get a stripped lower in or around Shreveport? Is this something I'd have to order?
