THIS

If you want lightweight, go for the T-1 or H-1 Micro. If you prefer a bigger tube, go for Comp M4s...be ready to spend some money, son.

Yep, planning on getting the T-1 Micro for my DD next Monday.

For my M&P 15-22 I plan on getting a Primary Arms red dot when they come in stock, and for my AK-74 I am leaning towards a Burris Fastfire.

My primary rifle is a DDM4 V5...with an Aimpoint T-1 Micro.

Why the T-1? What are the pros to that one as opposed to others?

This is a great suggestion if you can't/don't want to spend $700 on an optic. Their battery life isn't quite as good, but you can still leave if on for a couple of YEARS! It's probably the best, most rugged red dot in its price range ($400). Don't spend a bunch of money on a rifle and cheap out on the optic.

A couple of years straight or it will last a couple of years with regular use?

Aimpoints can run for years without turning them off at all...on ONE battery. The Comp M4s for example has a battery life of about 8 years.

Then who gives a damn that the battery isn't as good?

Just turn it off when it's not in use and it will outlast you.

Exactly...it's the best value out there in my opinion. The Aimpoint Pro and CompM4s weigh 11-12 ounces. The T-1 Micro weighs 3 ounces.

I'm so pumped for this damn gun. It is going to be a thing of beauty.

Glad I went for a patient/slow build instead of buying some piece of junk for 1650.

Agreed, Im a huge fan.

Drew, let me know when you get your rig set up, I will be more than happy to host a shooting session if you let me run a couple mags through that thing!

Also, just picked up 5 more pmags from my Cabelas order and my second lower build kit from PSA, now I just need my FFL to get home and I can get a completed rifle up and firing

Feb 8th. Only ordered 5, they shipped Monday and just picked them up.

Also, hope someone grabbed that 5.45 upper from AIM, 5.45 ammo is stupid cheap, even now, it used to be 0.11 a round, and can still be found for less than 0.20rd, you just have to clean your weapon right after you shoot.
