for the first time, i witnessed the academy deal this morning... Went to Walmarx early, as usual they didnt have squat,,, went to academy,, waited in the parking lot with about 30 other guys in trucks... at about 9, everybody rushed the door,,, i took my time, didnt figure there was any hurry... I got about halfway to the door and about 90 percent of the guys went back to trucks and drove off.... I had a WTH look on my face, went in and saw about 3 boxes of some kind of off the wall crap ammo behind the check out lines...It all came together at that point, cause i thought yall meant that they were keeping it behind the gun counter,,, not right when u come in...

Yeah as soon as you come in at the service desk. They can't even ring you up ammo at the gun counter in bossier, you have to buy it up front. I have no idea why people wait outside at the academy in bossier. You are limited to one box of ammo. So one box of .223 for $14 is worth standing outside for an hour? No thanks.

I went to Dicks in Monroe yesterday and asked the young guy for 2 bricks of 22 lr. Great joke sir says he. Oh wait I do have a brick of 22 lr he says and pulls out a brick of rat shot. I told him his joke was better than mine.
We talked awhile and he said Dicks would no longer sell any .ARs because of the controversy. Hmmmm?!

Yea .22lr has become the hardest to find now other than the little 50 round packs at Academy in the mornings

I ordered 1000 rounds from natchezz only to have them cancel it. I will not shop there again. I kept hitting f5 until i was finally able to get the order to go through.

I personally am not willing to pay that much, I wait around for ammo cans. Usually about $0.45 a round.

Only reason I'm even considering it is because of the ammo can because I've run out of empty ones.
However, I've never in my life paid more than .40/ round for .223 but I'll probably never find that again.

Walmart by the Cortana Mall had 3 boxes of .223 Tul Ammo steel casing left. under $6 for 20. and they had 3 boxes steel case Tulammo 9mm. I left both as I was only looking for 22lr.
This is about an hour ago, no telling if its still there so don't make a special trip out there just to find out it was already sold.
