Academy un houma has winchester white box 100 rd packs. 45 for .50 cent a round, 40 for 33 cents and 9mm for 27 cents. Also had ton of 308 and 7.62

For my NWLA folks, Academy on Bert Kouns has lots of ammo in almost all popular calibers. However, it's still the one box per caliber limit. I got a box of 9mm and .223

Keeping them. Selling the brass for 0.65/rd, keeping the steel
The cost savings from shooting steel vs brass (if you don't reload, which I dont), is far more than the price to replace your barrel every 5000 rounds

I've had issues with tula short stroking and I've heard about problems with the extractors ripping the back end of the casing off. I try to only shoot brass now

I think Tula is the bottom of the barrel steel rounds. Wolf, Brown Bear, and Herters are what I'll probably start shooting

Some wolf is laquered, but I think most are polymer. The AK ammo I buy is laquered. Love it for long term storage

I've seen a lot of Wolf .223 on gunbot, 500rd cases. You think it'd be worth a shot, pun intended.

I just checked and it was selling for around 0.30 last week, but now it's up to 0.40. I think I'll pass. I got some brass AE from Academy today for 0.40

This evening Slidell Academy had a Marlin mod 60 for 159 I have a Ruger 1022 in the house and thought about having its rival to shoot along with it

Thats a pretty good deal. I have no desire for another semiauto .22, but if I did, that would be a way to go. I almost walked out with a DPMS oracle from Academy in SPort today. I decided I didn't know enough about it and decided to come home and do some research.

yea it is. When I walked in to Academy and saw all the ammo on the counter, my jaw hit the floor. It was like I'd never seen it before in my life. I'm going back tomorrow.
