It is supposed to be three boxes of ammo regardless of caliber. I walked out with 9 boxes in 2 calibers.

I really wish I was that lucky!

Academy in West Monroe-wee has Monarch .223($12/20rds) & Independence 5.56($10/20rds).

Even though .223/5.56 is starting to appear in a lot of stores, Academy is still limiting 1 box per caliber per day.

.22LR is still hard to find but 9mm is starting to show up on shelfs but is harder to find.

Will show instock if it is on the truck after 7pm
Some WM's put it out at night just before close (If not 24 hr)
Others usually have a couple folks waiting for sporting goods section to open to sell, usually around 7am. If you want bricks, best to be hanging around counter by 5:00-5:30. Usually Federal auto match .22 comes in a box of 10 so with a three box limit you better be one of first 3 or your usually SOL.
Some WM's that put it out at night will let you buy if in the case. Need to find the night managers/asst managers that will do it. Frick those that won't.
Employees can buy up to 3 boxes also, so sometimes what shows in stock won't necessarily be there in the a.m. Trial and error here.
Where I make my rounds I have 3 Walmarts, an Academy and a Dicks all within5-7 mins of each other. I have literally hit a Walmart at 6 and gotten 3 bricks...gone to a second Walmart and gotten another 3...hit Academy for a brick and then hit Dicks (on the rare right day) and gotten 2 more bricks. Rarely happens but thats the chance you take.
I work evenings, so work doesn't interfere with the ammo runs but getting quality sleep is a whole different story. Coming home and getting back in bed at 9:30 am and sleeping to 1 or 2 is much easier when you have a smile on your face from a successful morning.
Mind you this is 3, maybe 4 days a week. No wknds.
