OB Flood Pictures

How did the OB turn out? My immediate family stayed dry, but my grandma's house in Covington flooded. Thankfully we only had to rip up carpet. We'll see how the sheetrock fares but I think it'll be fine. Lots of my friends got a lot worse. As bad as this weekend was, it's pretty crazy to see the power of mother nature and the lack of control people have over it. Did anyone get any photos of the flooding? Hopefully all on the OB stayed dry.
Covington:
This is the corner of a three way intersection near the Little Tchefuncte.
Going into my grandma's neighborhood the day after. This F150 stalled out the night before. The water was up to their knees in the cab.
5 ton in a ditch the night before. It was impossible to tell where the road met the ditch.
New subdivision along old 190. My friend just bought a place in here. Thankfully he stayed dry.
Bogalusa:
UHaul lot with the Mill in the background.
Behind central fire station and the police dept.
Willis Ave. in front of the Mill.

We were spared here in the Lafayette area, but it's still wait and see at our camp in Larto. We moved everything up and/or out yesterday.

Man, I feel for everyone that flooded. Went through it 4 years ago in Carencro and every time we are supposed to get "flooding" rains my butthole puckers. We stayed dry this time.
The pictures I've been seeing make me very sad.

Posted on 3/14/16 at 10:12 am to bluemoons
Yes it is my camper and thankfully it did not take water. It was damn close though!

Thanks man! I was really worried that front porch picture was going to give my location away to you. You've been tracking me down since the black panther sighting LOL

Pea Ridge is a long, curvy road. Fortunately for you I drive it every weekend going to the hunting lease off Hutchinson Cemetery.

I opened that garage door and they all floated off thankfully. Now they are just "flood victims"

Nobody thought to get the bobcat to high ground?
In all seriousness, we just have to be thankful that no more lives were lost. Properties can be replaced, although, its severely depressing.

My wife showed me a picture from facebook of a house in a Ponchatoula subdivision that was flooded and on fire yesterday. Neither one of us can find the picture now though.

My sister lives off General Pershing and she said they didn't get much water, but the University Center did get water. Not sure about University Drive
