Yeah stop at Top Gun if you want shrimp, otherwise just swing through walmart.

That little blue gas station joint on Fort Morgan Hwy has crab and some other tackle if you get in a bind.

I usually just toss out squid or mullet from the beach.

Behind the fort I used shrimp on an egg sinker and it was game on when it hit the bottom every cast. (dead shrimp and gulp shrimp in new penny).

It was really choppy back there when I went, so I didnt get to run a topwater bait, but it does get glassy so be prepared for that.

Caught reds and black drum on the first day. Second day some specks got thrown in the mix.

I will try to link my thread from when I went a few years ago.

I'll be there the second week in June. Got a beach house for the week. First time going to a beach besides grand isle or Biloxi.

Fort Morgan is killer IMO

It doesnt have all of the crowds that the main strip in GS has.

I also catch a shitload more fish off of the beach in Fort Morgan.

I used to stay on Boykin Ct. in a house, but this year will just be myself, the wife and kid so we got a small condo at Kiva.

We've got 15 going. 7 of those being youngins. I think the wife said its like a private beach behind it. That'd be damn nice.

Yeah those areas behind each house are considered "private beaches" and are pretty well respected.

You dont have to worry about some fricks coming and setting up a tent on your turf.

There is a Tacky Jacks restaurant near the end of the road that sucks dick so dont waste your time unless you are just trying to drink and eat mediocre food.

That's what I like to hear. I can lay my fat arse in the sand, fish and drink beer in peace.

Lots of cooking too
