Delhi, La. celebrated their 20th straight NRA Banquet last night. I don't have my program so cant tell you completely accurately how many guns were in attendance, but NOT ONE person was shot!
Just want to say I worked there with a lot of the guns and not one even attempted to kill anyone.

The farmers have a lot more money now than they did back then. I bet they really show out now.

They did show out some, but surprisingly Gun of the Year didn't bring near what we thought. It brought $6500 in Lake Charles and around $1500 here if I recall correctly. Some surprises both ways.
You are right: great group of folks running it. This is my first year to help and I intend to make it a habit.
Best behaved guns I've seen, They didn't even try to load themselves and i handled a bunch.

Geauxt, you asked about the Devil. A certain person of the female persuasion was drankin some evil brew in a wine bottle and bid up an ole walking cane. The devil made her say she was bidding on a pistola when she had to pay for it.
Got pretty riled up, she thought she had bought a gun for $80. Only sign of Ole Horns and Tail I saw.

I talked to her some, but de grapes was tying her tongue up. her krewe had to convince her she'd bought a walking stick instead of a pistol. She signed off on the sheet after FUMFING me several times. i was laughing pretty hard by then. Glad the devil didn't take the reins cuz she could have wupped my butt for sure or her gun might have kilt me. Guess it had more sense than she did seein as how guns don't drink.
