I’m likely gonna be in the market for a new truck in the next couple of weeks. I posted in the truck thread earlier but figured I’d start my own thread and I know the OB baws will steer me in the right direction.

I’m typically a ford guy and an F150 is at the top of my list but I really want the platinum but may not be able to bite on that price.

F250 would be second on my list but I don’t tow and don’t really need a diesel, I just like em and again may not be able to justify that price.

I could possibly be persuaded on a Tundra.

And then way off in the distance is a jeep.....with the intent of keeping it a few years and making it the weekend ride.

What kind of pricing/incentives/sticker price you baws been getting on your new rides and which would you choose.

I really like the new F-150's but I also enjoy my Tundra. Plenty of power in the 5.7 and a ton of room in the back seat, which is great for the kids. Plus it's reliability is what sold me.

I have been looking as well.... F-150 or a GMC Denali..... Ford isn’t offering much as far as incentives, I heard October was the big month for them as far as incentives. GMC is offering anywhere from 8K to 14 K off msrp. I’m getting quote on a Denali tomorrow.... will update later.

I had requested a BEST PRICE via online on a 17' F150 XLT 2.7L ecoboost.

MSRP $43.9K

best price after all rebates was $31,838 + TTL.

Another on a 17' F150 Lariat 2.7L that had almost 5K miles. MSRP was $47K and best price was around $40.5K.

I in no rush and will wait off.

You could also look into a F250 Gas motor. They are close to same price as the F150 here in the Houston area. A lot more truck for close to the same price.

Does your dealership offer lifetime oil changes and lifetime power train warranty?

Yes on the oil changes, have that color also. Don't fall for the bogus "lifetime warranty". It's usually just a 100k miles powertrain, and they look for loopholes to avoid repair. Like "gasket leak caused engine failure and gaskets aren't covered so neither is the engine".

I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago. Was leaning F150. The frills and gas mileage were tempting. Logged in to consumer reports at last minute and went with the tundra. The reliability ratings blew everything else out of the water. It was also their top recommended full-size truck. With my busy lifestyle, reliability means the most to me and my current F150 was consuming oil, shifting very hard, and a couple of other annoying things. The other reviews you see online definitely don't show the gap in reliability that consumer reports does, but you don't have to pay to see them either. Very happy with my purchase so far.

I currently drive a 2006 Ridgeline and it has 217,670 miles. Please give pros and cons of each full size truck..... All of them have good and not so good things....

I get 16.2 mpg in mine. That’s averaged over the last 25k Miles. It’s a 16 4wd. For reference, that’s about what I got in my 2wd 1st gen tundra.

For reference, I towed a 4,000 tractor up and down hills and all across the state for a tank of gas this weekend to the tune of 8.8mpg

2017 Tundra Crewmax Limited 4x4
Couldn't be happier with my purchase. I looked at A Lariet F150 that had all the thrills with electronics. Like another poster said, I looked at reviews and the Tundra won hands down. Bought the Tundra at a dealership in Dallas using my CostCo membership & got the active incentives at the time & CostCo discount. Averaging 12mpg with leveling kit installed on front & 33" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Currently have 6500 miles on it.
