Picked up a male Blue Lacy this weekend. Will have a female in about 6 weeks. Looking forward to getting on some blood trails soon. So far he's been great. Any other lacy owners here?

I've only met one before. He belonged to a taxidermist in central Texas and was used to trail and retrieve predators. However the dog was extremely gentle and welcoming to a stranger.

Thats awesome! I wanted a blue lacey but my wife wanted an Aussie. So we got the Aussie. I wouldn't trade him for any dog, but I am curious on your dog's temperament and stuff once you get him.

We got the male Saturday. He was 11 weeks so a little older, but already has sit, lay down, and kennel mastered. Has not had an accident in house since Saturday. I have a 4week old son, and 6 and 8 year old daughters. He has been great with them.

Not sure what the OB's opinion on this is or not, but we bring our pup to Puppy Playtime at Petco on Saturday mornings. Its a free class for puppies where they just play and socialize for 30 min. I would suggest giving it a try. Our dog absolutely loves it. It did take him a few time before he was brave and played a lot.
