So we adopted a $75 pound American bulldog mix. Great dog but pulls hard on a regular leash. Anyone have a leash/harness collar that they recommend? Thank you

Choke collar behind the ears.

They make a choke collar/leash that is cloth that I like. It won't like like a chain choke collar will some times
When the dogs pulls on the leash you jerk back hard enough to scare the crap out of them. They'll only do it a couple time more.

Just use a regular leash as a choker, slide latch threw the handle loop over dogs head pull, free choker leash trained that way many times

Choker worked for one of my labs, but my German Shepard would pull until it seemed like she was going to pass out. Got her a pet safe walking harness that clips the leash across her chest, and she couldn't pull. Now she walks right along side me perfectly. Both have worked for me.

Neighbor of our had a dog that they were convinced that I couldn't correct her pulling. The dog had literally yanked its owner to the ground on more than one occasion. I put the leash/collar on the dog and told the owners to go inside (mainly so they wouldn't get upset).
We started out on a short walk and when the dog started to pull I yanked the dog so hard, it landed on its back. It got up and tried it again and I did the same thing. After that the dog started to pull and I gave a decent tug but not hard and from there the dog was done.
Every now and then it needs a small reminder but the dog is totally different now.

A pinch collar is the best money I've ever spent on my lab. It doesn't cause harm and choke the heck out of them like a "choke" collar but it grabs the extra skin on the back of their neck and gets their attention quickly.

We used a prong collar worked great - lots of videos on proper techniques and training methods.

My old english bulldog female is 60 pounds of muscle and can pull like a mule on a regular collar if she sees people. On a prong collar, she behaves like a champ.

I've got one of the choker collars that's just made out of the regular collar material. I taught my dog best by just jogging with her as soon as she was old enough. SHe had to keep up, or she was going to get dragged around. And when she was tired, she wasn't going to try to sprint out and pull me around. She got used to being by my side and it just stuck. Not saying that's a fool proof method, but it worked for me.

I've never had a pinch collar. Always have used a choke collar up high to control the head and haven't had a problem or health issue.

Huge fan of the Easy Walk harnesses that hook in the front by the chest. My dog instantly went from a pulling to calmly walking. Still gets a little excited with cats and squirrels but i can handle a young pup getting playful.

Harnesses ARE for pulling use a choke pinch type
