Need to Launch in Hackberry this weekend

Is Joe Dugas landing still open ? I know its a piece of shite but is it still open ?
I know I can launch at Spicers but JD is much closer to buds camp.

There's a box near the launch you put 2$ in. It's still open but has seen better days. If I remember correctly, we always used the slip on the right (if you're looking at the water) try and keep it closer to the walkway in the middle and you should be fine.
Or you could always launch at spicers or the launch under the ellender bridge on hwy 27

Yea I popped a tire about 5 years ago at Dugas launching. Something gouged the sidewall.
Theres a LOT of shite in the water there, pipe concrete............
I will stay on the right/south side

Didn't realize that. We had a camp on Kay Ln. up until a few years ago so I haven't launched at dugas since

it is very nice now. They weired the launch off and drained,removed old concrete and poured new. It's very nice. We launch a 22' Skeeter out of there all the time. Buddy has a camp on Riverside

My dad belongs to a camp that had a house on Julia then moved to Kay after whatever hurricane is was that flooded everything right there. The duck hunting on the land they lease went to shite so I haven't been in years, but my dad still goes once or twice a year. My theory is the ducks left when they closed Browns Deli. Best fricking after hunt sandwich anywhere.

You're right about the hunting. 2013 we had an incredible year but other than that year and a handful of hunts a year it has dropped off big time. I made 9 hunts last season and killed maybe 20 ducks total. I hunted with your dad opening weekend.

Haha I had a feeling that was a good possibility after seeing the Astros fan under your handle and the fact there's only like 4 houses/camps on that road.
