So me and my ol lady just moved into a brand new apartment 2 weeks ago. First week was all good. Two days ago I found a baby mouse in the bathtub. 2 hours later she found one behind the fridge. Later that night after putting down traps we caught two more on the same trap by the fridge. This morning we found another on a trap by the fridge. Found 3 in the garage but that's expected. Its a brand new complex and its in the middle of a field so I expected some activity but do yall think the inside mice were already inside or does it sound like they're coming in from somewhere. I've moved that fridge countless times before finding them so it can't be possible they were already there right? What are some things I should be looking for?

they say where there are mice there are snakes.

it's virtually impossible to keep them out without some form of recurring pset control device. They can squeeze through anything

What kind of devices are there?

I'd prefer the snake.

I'd tell the apartment complex to give me my money back and find somewhere else to live.

Was thinking about that. I don't even know if that's legally an option tho. They really didn't give a shite when I called and told them we've found 8 mice in two days.

Mice are like roaches... once they have settled in you aren't going to get rid of them with anything short of a napalm strike. If they are in your apartment they are in everyone's apartment. I say check your contract and see if there is something in there about their obligations to you as a renter (i.e. not having to share you living space with rodents).
If you find it then pack up and move.

Mice can carry diseases. If there are breeding mice where you are sleeping then you can contract diseases from the mice. I doubt an apartment complex wants lawsuits from tenants with respiratory diseases they contracted from a known infestation of rodents.

Ill go through my lease and see what I can find. What's with the UV light?

Uv picks up traces of piss so you can see where the mice are pissing and shitting good luck on the battle with the apartment complex breaking that lease that's gonna be harder than catching all the mice
Put down glue traps behind stove the fridge and corners of the rooms. Use traps in the Corners of closets attics and under the sink. Fill any holes you see that are the size of a quarter or bigger..

Dang near impossible to find the entry point. Other than moving (good option), i would just set trap after trap...go buy you about 10 of those little wooden woods and place them everywhere.
We built a house in field and had a few when we first moved in, i think i probably caught 8-10 for the first few weeks, then haven't heard from them since. Thats been 4 years ago.
Good luck.

I would at least keep a few traps baited. Every one you catch helps. Talk to neighbors and maybe they will join in.

Apartments are notoriously put together half hazardly with poor build quality, I'm sure you have gaps all over the place in your flooring and trim work for the mice to travel. Get some poison and glue traps, you'll eventually win it just takes a couple of months.

We moved a trailer on our land before we built. After a few months I started seeing mice in the kitchen. I used the regular Victor snap traps and caught a mouse daily, sometimes twice daily for a month before I got rid of them. Good luck!

Tell them they better start giving a shite or you'll call the local TV station and explain how terrible your experience is... good luck to them trying to find new renters.
Poison and traps. Copper mesh in any and all weep holes or cracks.

Apartment complexes typically pay for pest control...I would expect that from them.
