Need draw length shorted on bow in Gonzales La

Will have time to kill in Gonzales the next 2 days. got a bow handed down and need to shorten the draw length. Don't remember Cabelas having a bow mechanic but is there anywhere near that area that I can bring a bow to and get it worked on?

Without knowing anything about the ease of adjustment on that particular bow, I'd stop by Bowie's and let them take care of it.

Cabelas has a press. I haven't bern there in a while so not sure how good their staff is these days.

Cabela's has a staff and the equipment but a buddy reported that he was there over the holidays and he was not impressed with the staff or service. My experience was good but that was about a year ago. Bowie's has always been consistently good IMO so if you have time to peel off in BR, I agree with earlier poster - go to Bowie's.

Depending on the manufacture of the bow, the only way to shorten the draw length is to change the cam completely. If that is the case then it will probably need to be ordered.

Bought the bow from there. Will prob just make a separate trip one day.
