LINK

Meopta Tactical 6-24x56 Special Mildot illuminated Riflescope mfg # 541720 $1799

never used a reticle like this...easy to adapt to?

or

LINK

MeoStar R2 Series R2 2.5-15x56 RD $1449

with 4k reticle

or 4c reticle

Now I know I can get either for $100-$200 cheaper than the advertised MAP pricing...but looking for some thoughts on the two different optics listed...

purpose is for deer hunting and maybe some long range target shooting

Have that exact scope with 4K recticle.

Love the scope. Very good at light gathering. Not quite Swarovski good, but close.

4K recticle is good but I don't love it. Crosshairs are so thin they are almost hard to see during the day sometimes. I find myself using the illumination a lot more than I expected.

I would probably go with the 4c if I had to do it again.

My .02.

Meoptas tend to be polarizing - folks either hate them or love them, generally.

Probably an RTIC vs. Yeti thing...someone putting down the competitor to justify them spending an extra $1k on the big brand...

I've looked through my buddie's Meostar and his Dad's Zeiss victory and the Meostar was much clearer at dusk to after dark...big difference IMO

ive never heard anyone trash them. if you said "pick a free scope not named S&B, Nightforce, or Swarovski," I'd take the Meopta every time. I have a 3-9x50 on my PWS straight pull rimfire build

by far our best selling line.

It's the Tikka T3 of riflescopes. Too expensive for some and too cheap for others.

Carson ,

What is your opinion on the Meoptas I posted?

and what kind of pricing can you get?

I know everyone is supposed to be MAP,

but there are a few websites selling $100 below map with a note saying call for best price...

I know you can't publicly list the price...but if you want to email me that would be fine.

Bringing this back up to the top

So If I could get This NightForce for $3500, would that be a good deal? and if I didn't like it before mounting it (NIB) what could I sell it for?
don't want to take a loss on it

Honestly, 7-35 is overkill for most applications, especially deer hunting like you mentioned. 5-25 will do anything you need and more. Look into these S&B scopes on sale.

I was looking at this one for making a long range shooter...just wanted to know if I'd be taking a loss if I didn't like it.

Even for LR stuff. I mean if you want to see holes on paper maybe its useful but if you are talking hitting steel, you really don't need it. As far as value, Carson would be better with that or igchris (too bad he got banned )

Idk. You have to ask Carson for specifics. I'm thinking it's because he would post info on deals and stuff from Interstate Guns. Btw, you look at my link? I highly recommend the PMIIs for your Falkor.

I checked it and I'm torn between the NF ATACR, Khales 624i and those S&B scopes.
