Native Propel owners - I have rudder question.

We took our boats out this weekend. This was my son's first real use of his Manta Ray Propel. He really struggled with the rudder adjustment. I did not really, but he is ten and does not have the strongest hands.
Native suggested loosening the screw on the rear wheel thingie. I did that a little while on the water, and it did not do much. Some of the tension appears to be in the handle part itself. Anyone encounter this? Any way to make it easier to move?

There is a screw through the center of the handle you can loosen a little that should help. I believe you have to remove the 4 corner screws and pull the whole handle assembly out. It is a phillips head bolt that is accessed from the bottom of the assembly if I remember right.
When removing the 4 screws and pulling the handle assembly out...IF you don't have enough slack in the rudder cables to get it out far enough try this:
Remove the bolt on the rudder and take the rudder off. This should allow that black disc to slide towards the front of the kayak and give you more slack to pull the handle out. Once you adjust the handle, reinstall it. Then reinstall the rudder last.
Remove these 4 screws:
Bottom side of rudder handle, loosen center screw:
