My annual reminder that the NFR starts tonight. GAC at 9 pm.
Louisiana folks this year are:
Casey Martin, steer wrestling, Sulphur (1st in the world right now)
Shane Hanchey, calf roping, Sulphur
Cole Echols, bull riding, Elm
Grove
Heith Demoss, saddle bronc riding, Heflin
Bradley Harter, saddle bronc, Loranger (transplant from tx - married Loranger hottie)
Randall Carlisle is listed in the calf roping from Baton Rouge, but he's a Texan too.

Yup, Steve Duhon still holds the arena record out there. He and Mike Smith used to wreck shop. Interesting fact - they both played football in LA. Steve at LSU and Mike at McNeese.

Steve was a beast. He had a brother or two that was beast like him also I think.

Heith Demoss, is his dad Mike Demoss? I remember Mike and the Fletcher brothers, (Mike and Scott) from high school, Tri State and IRA rodeos back in the 70s. Those boys could ride.

Good friend of mine won the 1st round last night, huge LSU fan and he was decked out in his LSU gear last night so was nice to see him repping the Tigers on the big stage last night. Moved him currently to 6th in the world.
