My 15 year old yellow lab passed in his sleep last night. Son and I just finished burying him under the pitchers mound in our yard. The old boy spent most of his life in that yard watching us throw off that mound. Awesome dog that will be missed.

RIP Slider

Sorry man. I almost lost my 2 year old lab yesterday. He went to defend our family honor against an evil squirrel and got tangled in the electric on the heat and air unit. Ripped the conduit off the house and the electric lines out of the unit. I saw the flash and the breakers tripped. Not sure how he survived, but I was happy he did.

We also have a black lab that's almost 8. He has been looking all over the house for his yellow buddy. Breaking my heart.

We did get a chocolate pup 4 months ago, that will help all of us.

A wise old man told me about 40 years ago, as you get older it gets easier.

He lied

Man that sucks really bad and this probably won't help much but hopefully you can take comfort in the fact that 15 years is about all you can ask for out of a lab and at least you weren't forced to make any tough decisions and he went peacefully

Sorry to hear that a dog is truly mans best friend. Like Lou Holtz used to say want to prove it. Lock up your wife in your trunk all day and see if she is happy to see u when u let her out

I have buried a few in my day. I am in my 60's. It doesn't get any easier. They're the best friends a man or a boy can ever have. Dogs are just special.

RIP
