I just started hunting again after about a 15 year hiatus. This Wednesday I drove out to meet family in Sonora, TX and hunted up until yesterday. I used my Tikka 7MM mag and am now officially hooked again.

Thank you. He would have been awesome next year. He looked a lot bigger when looking through my scope.

Yes, yes they do. I've made a few expensive mistakes in my dad because of that.

Fine buck though.

You're right about killing. I saw more deer on this one trip than I saw on all of the trips to family property in North Louisiana.

Of course, the morning after I killed my buck, I had a big 10 pt that I could have thrown my phone at he was so close. I was turkey hunting with my 17 hmr. Damn the luck.

Did I mention that the high temp while I was out there was 34 degrees? This morning when I woke up it was 12 degrees.

That's what I meant. Had some friends from Lake Charles who used to make a trip down there with a friend they met through rodeo and they would hammer them riding around in the back of trucks.

One more for y'all. I saw this at the local general store and had to take a pic. It was high up so pic quality kinda sucks.
