that was on a bow hunt. I could hear cracking and splashing before the sun came up and thought it was a beaver building a dam. a gator eating a turtle was not what I was expecting.

You were planning on doing some serious rattling when walking to your stand?

I was and did. One of the bucks you see right after that was paying attention but he was with a doe already and not making a move.

Great video. Are you filming yourself or have someone with you? If by yourself how is the camera mounted?

I'm self filming. If in a tree stand I use a camera arm that mounts to the tree with a ratchet strap. If I'm in a box stand I use a tripod.

I gotcha. I've always wanted to film some of my hunts.
Daughter hunts with me now so she shoots but I'm more worried about her than holding a camera. Might try the tripod thing.

Great video. Whereabouts you kill him?

Thanks! Without dropping pins and giving too much away, he's a river bottom deer from the vidalia-ferriday area.

That wide buck with the broke time looks to be a mature deer too. If you can catch him next year he should be a hell of a 7 point if he keeps that frame.

Funny you say that. I was told not to shoot him. Landowner thought he was small. later that afternoon he was killed. I have 15 minutes of video of him and could have killed him at 20 yards. He was definitely mature
