If they're tearing up the marsh, they are the enemy of South LA. You know what to do

The camp at mouth of Smith's bayou is just pilings now..
Damn pretty much figured that, was getting pretty unstable when we stopped going out there. Try fishing around the pilings sometime, we used to dump oyster shells all around. I can still remember catching tons of drum, sheepshead, and an occasional redfish off the dock.
Smiths Bayou used to be really good for crabs, we had about 10 traps and usually after a night of sitting out we'd have a hamper easy.

Cant see your picture but run Wilkerson Canal or Jimmy's ditch and it probably looks like your picture. The marsh is leveled.

That is a target rich environment.

Read it. I wonder why they don't want carcasses to be eaten by birds?

at $5 per tail, I would take a .22 rifle and load the truck up.

My guess it to prevent eagles from being hit by vehicles.

Lets say I bring a .22 along on a fishing trip and shoot 10 nutria. Where do I drop off the tails to collect the $50? All I've ever heard is that the "state gives you money for tails", however nobody has ever mentioned where you dump the tails and collect.

you might need a trappers license and proof of a lease, but I can't help on where to drop them off.

i thought there was a law that prohibited shooting into water or something

After a quick search looks like one needs to have trappers license and apply with state for nutria program. Also ownership or written permission to hunt on property must be submitted to state with description. If using shotgun or other firearm steel shot must be used.
They should just unleash tha Cajun Navy for a week every quarter of the year. Like the purge on nutria.
