bout to have garden re done.... always spent way too much money on softscape, now price is even more ridiculous and can't even find it too well. Went and got the Lowes Premium brand mulch on sale, got a whole pallet full plus 10 bags (75 total), walk out door price on my lowes credit card was $156. Not sure how long sale lasting, $2 a bag.

These bags had some god damn weight to them too. Softscape was light as shite bags, guy said pallet alone was maybe a bit under a ton. probably had a 10 with extra bags.

I am somewhat involved in the mulch supply chain. It's a loss leader for the big box stores. They put it on Ad at like "5 for $10" to try to get people in the store.

I was at a Scott's factory about a month ago. I counted 140 flatbeds in line. Two miles long outside the factory. Waiting to get loaded.

They spend Mar-Apr-May in the parking lots. Roped off area with a few hundred pallets in front of Lowes and Home Depot.

I hope you have some help spreading that. If not, it will be a long weekend.

I did 80 bags last weekend on my property. My 2 daughters helped, but back and hamstrings are still sore from all that work.

I think it's important to have some pre-party ibuprofen and a few beers before you start. Comfortably numb kind of thing.

So, how many yards is that? I paid $46 for 2 yards of dyed brown at my buddy's place.

Just bought 16 bags of Softscape (the trashy fluorescent red stuff) yesterday and thought I was good. Went back for 10 more bags today. Ouch.

Mulch is $2 a bag and the rest of the plants will cost you about $800. So yeah, why not $1 a bag mulch

14 bags at 2 cu ft is equal to 1 yard. Also if you like pine straw check out POP Southern Straw. They carry the rolls and they have a coloring on them so they don't lose their color so quick like the normal straw.

Bought some for us and Mother-In-Law past couple of days.
I plan on being there early tomorrow if I wake up in time! The Canadian Rye is flowing tonight after a rough week of work. However, working in the flower beds and garden is a good escape when I am not hunting.
Alarm is set but it will be Saturday morning and I might have to sleep in!
