Looking to get a motor for an Egret Flats boat, 18'9". Actually my dads boat but he hasn't used it for awhile so I think I'll just bite the bullet and get a motor. Boats still in great shape just needs a new motor and probably some electrical work.

Was thinking of getting a used 150 four stroke. Preferably a Yamaha but doesn't have to be.

Wanted to see yalls opinion on what brand and also the oldest motor you would go for. (year and # of hours?)

Or would a 115 be enough?

115 would be perfect; 150 would have that thing standing up.

Rated for a 175 max. I'd say 150 would get you scootin

It's an older model, but it's an awesome boat. We used to use it all the time and I hate to see it just sit. My dad isn't much off a fisherman, just wants to them ducks (and who can blame him).

But I just moved back to Clearwater, FL from Baton Rouge and will be able to keep it on a covered lift at a relatives place. So kinda seems like perfect timing.
