Have some pet rescue groups getting donations of food and litter together. Any suggestions are welcomed on what is needed please.

If anyone has thoughts on what items specifically are most needed and to what area and agency/group they could be delivered to later in the week we'd be very grateful. I can also be reached at fishingfloridaradio@gmail.com

Prayers to all of our Louisiana brothers and sisters.

I spent yesterday working in our local Red Cross shelter and I have a few thoughts. The shelters probably don't need more random clothing. We received enough unsorted used clothes to fill a warehouse and were looking for other agencies to bring a truck to haul it away. The kinds of things the shelters need are clean, working portable baby beds, like Pack and Play, travel size shampoo, toothpaste, soap, mouthwash, clean and undamaged towels, clean and undamaged sheets and pillow cases. Also, working cell phone chargers. Don't drop off a casserole or a plate of sandwiches. Individually wrapped snacks are ok. Restaurant catering donations must be coordinated with the shelter so that food is not wasted. Think of it as, what would a hotel need to operate, and you will be ok.

I wonder if there are any dropoff locations around shreveport for supplies. My work can bring in stuff fast, just want to make sure there is a way to get it down there.

Anyone heard of anything?
