Pay Dirt had one in the bag. Confirmed. Fish on deck looked bigger than 75lbs.
That record will probably get broken 10 times this week.

Yep most of the guys in Northern Gulf that swordfish are all out of Venice. That's where all the swords get weighed when they hit the dock. So naturally Louisiana record sword is much larger. Daytime sword fishing (outside of S. Fla) is a pretty new thing revolutionized by Peace and then adopted by other Venice guides.

That and where guides are located. Thats why the big swords always come into Destin, Orange Beach, and Venice. Mississippi just doesnt have many overnight trips.
Florida: 612! (south Florida though)
Alabama: 450
Louisiana: 310

JJ Tabor headed to scales with 108" Marlin on board. Breathe Easy has 110" headed to scales.

I was wondering if Tabor was entered.

It is just mind boggling to me that people can afford to purchase, and more importantly, crew and run those boats
just run all the expense thru your oilfield service business for entertainment of customers.

They list them as rescue boats and write the off on company expenses
Posted on 6/9/17 at 10:58 pm to bushwacker
Tabor stayed out fishing.

Problem is, most of field service companies in South Louisiana can't afford 14 foot bateau right now
Posted on 6/10/17 at 10:55 am to bushwacker
