Im looking at the 225 and 250 Bobcat.

The dealer is pushing the 250 but I havent been able to justify the extra 400-500 bucks when they look to be the same.

The 250 has more range of amperage but Im not sure if that is even needed.

Anyone have thoughts or reviews of this?

I'm assuming he's talking about a 225 miller bobcat vs a 250 miller bobcat.

I personally would be able to do everything I've needed to do with a 225 bobcat. Badass machines.

ETA: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I see what he did. He just worded it confusingly. He knew what he was talking about.

Glancing at the website it looks like you get 50-210cc with the 225 and 40-250cc with the 250.

I think I run 3/32 7018's at about 65ish on 1/4" plate. Other than that, I don't have much else to offer. Both would have much more than enough arse to do general repairs and fab work. Both would work for arc gouging. Both would far exceed anything I'd ever need to do with my personal machine.

ETA: Are both machines gas?

Weld with higher amperage a lot, get the 250. Normal range, a 225 is perfect
