quote:

Sparta, Wisconsin – Built on Crosscentric™ Cam technology, the 2016 HALON™ delivers hard-hitting energy with the consistent accuracy you’ve come to expect from Mathews®. Inspired by No Cam™ technology, the HALON’s all-new CrossCentric™ Cam employs a partially concentric string payout to produce a stealthy draw and delivers speeds up to 353 feet per second.

AVS™ technology is utilized in this high-speed system to maintain cam synchronization, store more energy and increased efficiency throughout the draw cycle. The HALON™ measures 30” axle to axle and features a true-center nocking point to ensure straight and level nock travel, further enhancing shot-to-shot consistency.
With wider, more torsionally rigid limbs and the all-new dual bridged riser, the HALON™ is built to perform in the toughest hunting conditions.

Outfitted with the new FlatBack Grip™ and industry leading Harmonic Damper® and Harmonic Stabilizer®, the HALON™ is rock solid and deadly quiet.
The HALON™ is available with 65%, 75% or 85% let off and in brace height variations of 5, 6, and 7 inches for added versatility. It’s also available in five exclusive finishes, including the new Lost XD™ Camo.

Also new for 2016 is the NO CAM™ HTX. Built around the concentric string tracks of NO CAM™ technology, and a true center nocking point, the NO CAM™ HTX produces a super-smooth draw and superior accuracy. The NO CAM™ HTX also features the new dual bridged riser design, ridged quad limbs, twin Harmonic Stabilizers, and is fitted with the all-new FlatBack™ grip.

RockMods™ are available for 65%, 75% and 85% let-off. The NO CAM™ HTX comes standard in the new Lost Camo XD, and is also available in Lost Camo OT, Black, Black Tactical and Stone.

I have been trying to upgrade for more years than I can keep track of. It always comes down to the fact that there's nothing wrong with my old LX. I was all ready for the no cam. Then I shot a friend's next to his Monster(can't recall the model). I was more impressed with the draw and speed of the Monster. That made me hesitate once again. Heck, at 27" draw, I really should just get the chick bow.

It's amazing how much the leaders in the bow industry constantly copy off of each other. The split offset riser design is obviously INFLUENCED from Hoyt's Nitrum series from the last few years. They are all going to dual limbs on top and bottom which was stolen from PSE years ago. The more compact 30" axle-axle designs are originated from Mathews. Those look freakin awesome btw. I drew a 2015 No Cam back a few wks ago and it felt fairly odd but Im assuming Im just not used to the way a Mathews feels.

?

Would you have preferred the term "the idea was carefully incorporated into their design"?

I would prefer you not post, but since that isn't going to happen, I'll just read and laugh.

What are you talking about?
You never come out and say it, you always beat around the bush. Im not knocking any manufacturer at all, especially one that makes amazing bows like Mathews does. Was merely pointing out how it's such a copycat industry. When one does something different and it sells, you can bet next year's lineup of every other manufacturer will have incorporated that into their design some type of way.
