Tomorrow I am going to buy a Marlin Model 60 ($159.99) or a Mossberg 702 ($139.99) Plinkster or other cheap 22lr that you could recommend from ACADEMY (cheapest 22s in the area by tomorrow from quick research [if you have any other dealers with good prices I am open]) for a range toy. I have a 10/22 and just want another 22lr for my little brother (6'3" college student so not really little) to help me shoot off a few thousand rounds of 22lr I have sitting around my house. Any experience with these 2 rifles or any other 22lr for sale in the Metairie area would be appreciated. Not buying for any other reason other than plinking.

Thanks for any advice and help!

I have both. Can't go wrong with either in my opinion. The model 60 has a better trigger though

Model 60. One of the most popularly sold for a reason.

I would go model 60 or 795. The micro groove barrel rocks. Super accurate.

I bought a marlin post reminington by out and the action feels so shitty. I'm kicking myself for not getting the 10/22.
